  Accommodation will be participation camping for 5 nights. This involves helping to set up and break down the campsite and assist with meal preparation. All camping equipment (except your sleeping bag and pillow) is supplied, including comfortable camp mattresses and durable, oversized 2-person dome tents with two separate zip-up doors.

• What meals are included in the tour price?

  The tour includes 5 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 3 dinners.

• What kind of transportation is used during the trip?

  For this trip, we use two 15-seat vehicles with internal luggage storage for up to 14 people plus a CEO and Driver. Transportation between destinations and to/from included activities will be via private vehicle, and some activities will involve boat and walking.

• What are the main highlights of the Yellowstone Camping Explorer tour?

  Highlights include an exhilarating rafting trip down the Snake River, a wildlife safari in Lamar Valley to spot local fauna, hiking near iconic sites like Old Faithful and Grand Prismatic Spring, exploring Artist Point and the Mt Washburn area, and visiting Mammoth Hot Springs with hikes around its terraces.

• What is the maximum group size for this tour?

  The maximum group size for this tour is 12 travellers.

• Is there a minimum age to join this trip?

  You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.

• What is included in the tour price besides meals and accommodation?

  Included are a welcome meeting, visits to Yellowstone National Park (including Norris Geyser Basin, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Northern and Southern Loops, Lamar Valley wildlife safari), Grand Teton National Park, a guided Snake River float, free time at Jenny Lake, and all entrance fees into the national parks (other than non-resident national park fees). All transport between destinations and to/from included activities is also covered.

• Are international flights included in the trip cost?

  No, international flights are generally not included in the price of your tour.

• What are the tipping guidelines for this trip?

  Local tipping for guides, drivers, and included meals is covered. At the end of your trip, if you felt your two Chief Experience Officers (CEOs) did an outstanding job, tipping is appreciated. As a guideline, $10-15 USD per person per day per CEO can be used. For non-included meals in restaurants, a guideline is 15-20% of the bill.

• What currency should I use, and how should I manage money during the tour?

  The United States currency is the US Dollar (USD). Credit cards are widely accepted, but be aware of potential foreign transaction fees. Bring your PIN for cash advances at ATMs. It is best to use a combination of US Dollars in cash (preferably smaller bills) and credit cards. Currency exchange is difficult to find in the USA, so it's best to obtain it prior to travel or at the airport. You should also have access to at least an additional USD $200 (or equivalent) as an emergency fund.

• Who will be leading the group on this tour?

  A CEO (Chief Experience Officer) will be with you throughout the tour, accompanying you on all included activities.

• What should I know about safety and security during the trip?

  It is recommended to check your government's travel advice before departure. Use a neck wallet or money belt for valuables and leave expensive jewelry at home. Many accommodations have safety deposit boxes. Your CEO has the authority to amend or cancel parts of the itinerary for safety reasons. While cities are generally safe during the day, it's recommended to stay in small groups and use taxis at night. Water-based activities are undertaken at your own risk unless accompanied by a guide(s).

• Is travel insurance required for this trip?

  Yes, travel insurance is compulsory. You will not be permitted to join without evidence of travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and repatriation (minimum USD200,000). It is also strongly recommended to cover personal liability, cancellation, curtailment, and loss of luggage/personal effects. Ensure your policy covers all included adventure activities.

• What is the policy for solo travelers regarding accommodation?

  Our group trips are designed for shared accommodation without a single supplement. Solo travelers are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip.

• Are there laundry facilities available on this trip?

  Laundry facilities are offered by some accommodations for a charge. You can also ask your CEO for the closest laundromat. It's advisable to bring non-polluting/biodegradable soap for handwashing if needed.

• What should LGBTQ+ travellers know about safety and travel considerations?

  The tour operator prioritizes the safety and well-being of all travelers, including those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. They encourage visiting their LGBTQ+ page for useful resources and mention the Equaldex tool for specific country information.

• Are there any rules regarding illegal drugs or inappropriate conduct?

  Illegal drugs will not be tolerated, as they contravene local laws and put the group at risk. Smoking marijuana and opium is not acceptable for travelers, even where part of local culture. The exploitation of people in the sex trade is strictly against company philosophy. CEOs have the right to expel any group member found with drugs or utilizing paid sex workers.

• Are there any optional activities available on this trip?

  Optional activities in Grand Teton National Park include visiting the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center and hiking at Jenny Lake and Cascade Canyon.

• Are there any health considerations I should be aware of before traveling?

  Inoculations may be required; consult your travel doctor for up-to-date medical travel information before departure. It's recommended to carry a First Aid kit, hand sanitizers, and any personal medical requirements. Be aware that the tour may visit remote areas away from medical facilities, and leaders are prohibited from administering drugs.
